University Environment
Many students find the Uni environment very different to what they're used to and it just doesn't seem to suit them. It might be that:
- You don't like the noise and number of people around you on residence
- You feel lonely and are finding it difficult to meet people because you're living off campus
- You are finding cooking for yourself for the first time difficult
- It seems that every social activity involves alcohol and you don't drink
- No one you meet seems interested in the same sorts of things as you
- You keep getting lost trying to find your way around campus
- You're finding it difficult to settle down to work in the unstructured learning environment
- You don't understand lectures
- Your first language isn't English and you are having trouble understanding what people are saying
- You are having difficulty working your way through the administration that is involved with being a student.
