Relationship Reasons

Relationships with family and other significant people in your life
can make study seem difficult or impossible at times.

  • A death of someone close to you
  • Relationship problems or break-ups
  • Lack of family support of your studies
  • Changed circumstances or living arrangements
  • Moving house (either voluntarily or involuntarily)
  • Abusive relationship
  • High demands of time and energy from a relationship for some other reason

All of the above affect your ability to study and may cause you to consider leaving your studies behind. STOP!

Talk it over first…

There are a number of staff at Uni who can help you work through these problems - whether you study on campus or off campus; the Student Rights Officers at MUGSU and Counsellors at Health, Wellbeing and Development can assist you free of charge.
